Our Story

In 2003, with years of recruiting experience, Ken along with his son Matt, founded Ability Professional. Our purpose is to help our clients grow their business and our candidates to reach their career potential.

We understand the issues that you face when trying to hire highly qualified professionals. We have both faced these issues ourselves.

Traditional recruiting methods are failing. Job board postings are seen by only about 8% of all candidates. Cold calling candidates has a success rate of only 5%.

That’s why we started Ability Professional. We specialize in placing sales and marketing professionals, nationally. We recruit high performing candidates for companies who want to win.

Ken has spent over twenty years in talent acquisition and professional staffing. He previously held the positions of Managing Director for Experis Division of ManpowerGroup and District Manager for Kelly Services. Ken is graduate in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University with a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from the Krannert Business School at Purdue University.

Matt is a business development and client services professional. As a financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial, he earned honors as the top advisor in the Ohio Valley for four years, as well as, one of the top 1% of financial advisors in the nation. A graduate of Capital University in Economics and Political Science, Matt led the Men’s Tennis team in winning the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship.

Ability Professional has its roots as a faith-based, job networking group which started during the Great Recession. Aligned with our philosophy of “Helping People Find Good Jobs”, we have given back to the community in helping over 4000 job seekers in Central Ohio find gainful employment.
